NESA is pleased to announce that Susan Grant, Strategic Lead of Energy Transitions at North East Scotland College will be taking over the NESA Chair role for the coming year. She will succeed Paul de Leeuw, Director of the Energy Transition Institute at Robert Gordon University from June 3rd, 2024.
The NESA Board are grateful to Paul for his leadership over the past year. His drive and energy have been crucial in the overwhelming success of NESA’s Scottish Government’s Just Transition Fund project, which delivered over 700 fully funded training places in energy transition related courses.
Susan said: “I’m honoured to be part of this unique partnership. NESA embodies collaboration in action and will be key to supporting industry and individuals through energy transition. NESA has an exciting year ahead, continuing and expanding the great work already started, and I look forward to sharing more success stories in the future.”
Paul said: “It has been a privilege and a pleasure to serve as NESA Chair again and to have helped establish NESA as a key part of the UK’s energy training ecosystem. The energy transition is accelerating and NESA’s work is crucial helping prepare the workforce to make the most of the opportunities now and in the future.”
NESA will now be looking to building on its recent successes and play its part to set the energy transition and its workforce up for success.
